Who we are
The app is made by Seal Media AS (org. no. 925 004 847), Regine Normanns vei 22 A, 8475 Straumsjøen, Norway. Contact: post@sealmedia.no. Seal Media AS is the data processor for the merchant who installs the app.
What the app collects
- Your store's myshopify domain, currency, Shopify plan and number of product variants.
- Product and variant IDs, titles, prices and compare-at prices, with the time each price came into effect.
- An access token from Shopify so the app can read prices and write one product metafield.
- Reference prices you enter yourself in the app.
The app does not collect or store any data about your customers, orders, visitors or staff. The storefront block sets no cookies and sends no tracking data.
Why
Only to calculate the lowest price of the 30 days before each sale, show it in your store, warn you about prices that break the rule, and bill the plan you choose through Shopify.
Where the data is stored
On servers in the EU: the app runs on Vercel (Frankfurt) and the database is Neon Postgres (Frankfurt). Both are our sub-processors under data processing agreements.
How long
As long as the app is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify sends a deletion request after 48 hours, and we then delete all data for your store. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction or deletion of your store's data by writing to post@sealmedia.no. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
